Well, are we all looking forward to getting out on the golf course, playing in 3 /4 balls and 18 holes!
Tomorrow is the first day for us to allow this format and fingers crossed all will run smoothly. The forecast look changeable for the weekend which is frustrating after the weather we have experienced.
Saying that the course does need some rain and the heavy showers over the last few days have provided some well need moisture for the golf course. The green keeping staff have been busy on the bunkers this past week. They have all been de-weeded and all edges trimmed and looking very tidy. Next week the green staff will be over seeding and divot filling.
Over the past few weeks we have enjoyed playing in 2 balls, as we revert back to including 3 and 4 balls we would ask you to maintain the speed of play. Please adhere to the etiquette of golf and be mindful of fellow members. Social distancing should be maintained at all times.
Our number one priority is to make sure all players are safe both around the clubhouse and on the golf course. Over the next two weeks we will monitor the management of moving to 18 holes, 3/4 balls and the adherance to Government guidelines regarding COVID-19. Please be patient and enjoy your time on the golf course. It is a gradual process moving back to some form of normality.
Please remember that it is essential that golfers continue to strictly observe social distancing and safety regulations relating to COVID-19 pandemic. All industry guidelines pertaining to the playing of the game will remain unchanged from those issued on the 13th May.
